In ‘Avengers: Twilight #6,’ Thor reveals a grim plan to stop the Hulk. When the Hulk, brainwashed by Red Skull and Ultron, becomes an unstoppable force of destruction, Thor is forced to take drastic measures. The Hulk, under this control, has caused chaos and destruction, leaving Thor with no other option but to stop him permanently.

Thor’s method is dark yet smart. He uses Mjolnir, his enchanted hammer, to pin the Hulk underwater. The enchantment by Odin ensures that only the worthy can lift Mjolnir, making it impossible for even the mighty Hulk to move it. By placing the hammer on Hulk’s chest, Thor plans to drown him.

The story takes place in a dystopian future where America has turned against its heroes. In this future, SHIELD has become a fascist organization, and Red Skull manipulates events from the shadows. Red Skull uses the Hulk as a secret weapon, causing devastation in rival nations while hiding the truth from the public.

In their final battle, the Avengers face off against Red Skull, who now wears an Iron Man suit, Tony Stark’s son James, and the Hulk. Thor confronts the Hulk alone, trying to keep him from harming more people. During their fight, Bruce Banner briefly regains control and begs Thor to end his life. Thor, exhausted and injured, makes the difficult decision to use Mjolnir to drown the Hulk.

This plan is effective because of Mjolnir’s enchantment and Thor’s willingness to make tough choices. Thor has a history of killing when necessary, including villains and, sometimes, his fellow heroes. He has previously killed characters like Sentry and the Wasp, though the latter survived by shrinking.

Thor and the Hulk have a long history of rivalry, with many battles over the years. This tragic end showcases Thor’s role as the Avengers’ lethal enforcer, willing to do whatever it takes to protect the world.
