What’s Next for She-Hulk? Exciting Possibilities for Season 2
It’s been almost two years since the launch of ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ on Disney+. The series brought Jennifer Walters, also known as She-Hulk, into the spotlight, with Tatiana Maslany playing the lead. Despite its initial success, the show hasn’t been renewed yet, and Maslany’s return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe isn’t confirmed. However, I’m excited about the potential directions the series could take if it continues.
Recently, Wendy Jacobson, a producer on She-Hulk, shared some thoughts during a chat with ComicBook. She discussed her affection for the character and how she enjoys portraying She-Hulk’s daily life. Jacobson is fascinated by Jennifer Walters’ attempts to manage her career, friendships, and life in her thirties, all while being a Hulk on the side.
She expressed interest in exploring two distinct paths for future episodes: one grounded in L.A., focusing on Jen’s everyday struggles, and another taking her into the vastness of space, dealing with intergalactic legal cases.
As for a second season, the outlook is uncertain. Earlier this year, Maslany hinted that the future of She-Hulk is up in the air, citing budget concerns and a lukewarm response from Disney as potential reasons for not moving forward. She has been known to give misleading statements about the series before, so it’s hard to take her words at face value.
The idea of She-Hulk navigating both Earthly and cosmic challenges is intriguing. Whether dealing with mundane legal battles in L.A. or representing clients across the universe, Jen’s adventures could expand in exciting new ways. Jacobson’s vision of a more grounded narrative or a leap into sci-fi extravagance shows there are plenty of stories left to tell.
While there’s no official word yet on the renewal of She-Hulk for a second season, the enthusiasm around the character and her potential adventures remains high. I hope we get to see Maslany bring Jennifer Walters back to our screens, exploring more of her unique blend of superhero and legal drama, whether on Earth or beyond.
