World War Hulk Defeats Every Avenger Except One
World War Hulk was a gripping Marvel storyline where the Hulk, more furious than ever, sought vengeance against the Illuminati for exiling him to the planet Sakaar. In his time on Sakaar, he grew stronger and angrier, blaming them for the deaths of his wife, unborn child, and a million others.
Blinded by rage, the Hulk returned to Earth. His first stop was the moon, where he confronted and defeated Black Bolt, not knowing that Black Bolt was actually a Skrull imposter. The Hulk then descended on New York City, demanding the evacuation of the city and the presence of the Illuminati.
Taking a detour, the Hulk visited the X-Mansion. There, Professor X admitted he would have agreed to banish the Hulk. In response, the Hulk fought several X-Men teams, including the Juggernaut. However, after learning about the X-Men’s recent losses, he decided to spare Professor X, seeing that he had already suffered enough.
Back in Manhattan, the Hulk faced off against Iron Man, who wore a special Hulkbuster suit. Despite the advanced technology, Iron Man was defeated, and Avengers Tower was destroyed in the process. The Hulk continued to battle other heroes, including Ghost Rider and the Avengers, all of whom fell to his might.
Doctor Strange attempted to use his magic against the Hulk but ended up shattering his hands in the process. Strange then invoked the power of Zom, an ancient enemy, but still couldn’t stop the Hulk. In a gladiatorial arena Hulk had constructed at Madison Square Garden, he forced the Illuminati members to fight each other. Despite working together to defeat a monster, they couldnโt overpower the Hulk.
Meanwhile, General Thunderbolt Ross called in the U.S. Army, but they too were defeated by the Hulk and his Warbound allies. The Hulk even transformed Madison Square Garden into a gladiatorial arena, where he forced the Illuminati members to fight each other.
The Punisher, meanwhile, was busy protecting civilians from the chaos. In a brutal fight, he managed to kill Mung the Inconceivable, showcasing his ruthless efficiency.
As the chaos unfolded, the Sentry, a hero with incredible power, decided to intervene. He arrived just as the Hulk decided to spare the Illuminati but threatened to destroy New York City. The Hulk and the Sentry engaged in a titanic battle, unleashing massive amounts of energy. Both heroes reverted to their human forms after the intense fight, with the Sentry thanking Bruce Banner for stopping him before collapsing.
Miek, a former ally of the Hulk, then revealed his betrayal. He admitted that the ship’s explosion on Sakaar was orchestrated by followers of the Red King, but he did nothing to prevent it. This revelation sent the Hulk into a new rage, but Tony Stark used a satellite-mounted weapon to neutralize the Hulk’s gamma radiation, putting him in a coma.
In the aftermath, the Hulk was kept in an underground base, and on Sakaar, his son Skaar emerged, hinting at more stories to come. This event was a dramatic and emotional rollercoaster, showcasing the Hulk’s immense power and the devastating consequences of his rage.
