Zelina Vega and Rhea Ripley Celebrate ‘Death Note’ in Stunning Cosplay Countdown Finale
As Halloween approaches this Thursday, WWE superstar Zelina Vega is concluding her series of anime-inspired cosplays.
Throughout the last month, ComicBook has given exclusive first looks at Vega’s tributes to anime, featuring characters from ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’, ‘Sailor Moon’, and ‘Naruto’.
This week, she teams up with Rhea Ripley for a special homage to the ‘Death Note’ series, celebrating its 21st anniversary.

The pair have brought to life the eerie figures of Ryuk and Misa Amane from the beloved manga.
Zelina Vega shared her enthusiasm for the character Misa Amane, noting, ‘Misa Amane from ‘Death Note’! This anime is one of my favorites. Though many might find it surprising, those close to me know that Light Yagami is my favorite character for his genius, which is both fascinating and frightening. I aspire to his intelligence, minus the God complex.’
Rhea Ripley transforms into Ryuk, the Japanese Death God, capturing his tall and slender appearance along with his unsettling pale skin and broad, dark smile.
She commented on her portrayal, saying, ‘I wonder if the presence I feel next to me is Ryuk. Rhea and Ryuk—a menacing duo meant to be. The effort she put into the details is impressive.’
Vega added a fun fact about the character Ryuk, known for his love of apples, which he finds as addictive as humans find alcohol and cigarettes, although the apples for Shinigami like him have a sandy texture.
Ripley’s affinity for ‘Death Note’ is well-known among her fans. Her fascination with Ryuk even influenced her early ring gear designs in NXT and inspired the name of one of her cats.
