Zootopia 2 Crosses $1 Billion Internationally in Record Time

‘Zootopia 2’ achieved a major milestone as the first 2025 release to surpass $1 billion at the international box office. The Disney animated sequel accumulated $1,099.5 million overseas. Worldwide totals reached $1,420.9 million.

The film ranked as the highest-grossing Hollywood animated title internationally for the year. It maintained strong holds in its extended run. China contributed significantly with $561 million alone.

‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ led the final weekend domestically with $64 million added. The James Cameron sequel reached $217 million in U.S. earnings. Global figures climbed to over $760 million.

International markets drove $542.7 million for the threequel. The sophomore frame added $181.2 million overseas. The entire Avatar franchise surpassed $6 billion worldwide.

‘Marty Supreme’ debuted strongly with $17.4 million over the three-day frame. The A24 title earned $27.1 million including the four-day holiday period. Timothรฉe Chalamet’s performance anchored the ping-pong drama.

‘Anaconda’ opened with solid turnout across family and thrill audiences. Domestic earnings hit $23 million in the debut weekend. Updated effects supported the remake’s performance.

The Christmas frame delivered the strongest post-pandemic holiday results. Seven titles posted double-digit millions domestically. Overall 2025 box office neared $8.76 billion.

Multiple films benefited from carryover momentum into early 2026. Projections indicated continued strength across diverse genres. China provided key boosts to leading releases.
