‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2 Teaser Finally Pits Matt Murdock Against Bullseye Head-On

Hell’s Kitchen has never felt more like a warzone than it does heading into the sophomore run of Marvel’s flagship Disney+ crime drama. Since its 2025 debut, ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ has leaned hard into the moral rot creeping through New York City under Wilson Fisk’s iron-fisted mayoral rule, and the anticipation for its next chapter has only grown louder with each passing week.

Fans have spent months piecing together scraps of footage, theorizing about returning faces and simmering vendettas, all while waiting for the show to finally show its hand. That wait appears to be nearing its end, as a newly surfaced teaser has reignited the conversation around one of the series’ most volatile relationships: the one between Matt Murdock and Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter.

The clip making rounds online shows Daredevil going toe-to-toe with Bullseye, a pairing that has been simmering since the character’s chaotic exit at the end of season one. According to Marvel Television, the second season’s eight episodes will see survival, resistance, and redemption collide as the fight for the soul of New York begins, with Charlie Cox back in the mask and Vincent D’Onofrio returning as the increasingly tyrannical Fisk.

Wilson Bethel is also confirmed to reprise his role as the unpredictable assassin, and reporting indicates Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page, Ayelet Zurer’s Vanessa Fisk, and Margarita Levieva’s Heather Glenn are all returning as well. The season additionally marks a major crossover moment, with Krysten Ritter stepping back into Jessica Jones for the first time in years, alongside newcomer Matthew Lillard as the mysterious Mr. Charles.

Plot details remain tightly guarded, but the broad strokes are clear enough. Mayor Fisk is described as crushing New York City underfoot as he hunts down the vigilante known as Daredevil, positioning him as public enemy number one. Bullseye’s arc has been especially murky this season, and multiple outlets have noted that Dex saved Matt’s life when the Anti-Vigilante Task Force stormed Cherry’s apartment and unmasked Daredevil, then later helped Cherry escape the same task force from a hospital, suggesting his loyalties are anything but settled.

Earlier promotional material only deepened that ambiguity. Bullseye is glimpsed in a kitchen flinging knives around, a striking image given that the last time viewers saw Dex, he was evading capture by the task force. That uncertainty has fueled speculation about whether the character is inching toward some form of redemption, or simply sharpening his blades for revenge against the Fisk regime that wronged him.

More recent footage has painted a darker, more unhinged picture of the character. Later teaser described how Bullseye appears fully embraced as the unhinged assassin comic book fans have waited years to see, a sharper contrast to the more grounded version of the character from the original Netflix run. Showrunner Dario Scardapane has framed the season’s backdrop in stark terms, explaining that the Fisk administration has firmly tightened its grip on the city even as resistance begins to stir beneath the surface.

Season two is confirmed to run for eight episodes total, and reports indicate the show will premiere March 24 in North and South America, with a March 25 release everywhere else. Given the density of new footage already circulating, from a Bullseye rampage against task force agents to the long-teased return of Jessica Jones, expectations are climbing fast. If the newest Matt-versus-Dex teaser is any indication, ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ season two is gearing up to deliver its bloodiest, most emotionally tangled chapter yet.
