Dan Stevens is having a standout year with his roles in ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ and ‘Abigail’, and he’s not slowing down, with ‘Cuckoo’ set to release next month. While he has a diverse range of roles under his belt, from ‘Downton Abbey’ to ‘Beauty and the Beast’, he is fondly remembered for his portrayal of David Haller in the Marvel series ‘Legion’. The show, which spanned three seasons, offered a unique take on the X-Men universe.

With the recent integration of the Fox Universe characters into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), such as in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’, the doors have opened for many possible character crossovers. In a recent interview with Mama’s Geeky, while promoting ‘Abigail’, Stevens expressed his willingness to reprise his role as David. ‘I love that character,’ he said. ‘I loved doing that show and it was such a creative team behind it. Yeah, I loved it, so if they bring it back, I’m here.’

During the interview, Stevens was with his ‘Abigail’ co-star Kathryn Newton, known for her role as Cassie Lang in ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantimania’. The interaction led to a playful exchange about potential collaborations in the MCU. When Newton asked how Stevens’ character could team up with Cassie Lang, Stevens humorously suggested, ‘Shrink Legion down to little, tiny size.’

Newton’s response to the quirky idea was to suggest Stevens ‘call Kevin [Feige],’ hinting at reaching out to the Marvel Studios president to make it happen.

This casual and lighthearted conversation not only highlights the potential for future Marvel storylines but also shows the actors’ enthusiasm for their roles and the expansive Marvel universe. As fans, we can only hope to see Stevens bring David Haller back, perhaps in an exciting new context within the MCU.
